Raya Faigenbaum-Romm, PhD

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the laboratory of Prof. Nathalie Balaban at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. I study bacterial heterogeneity in human pathogens to determine bacterial states within the host.

    Research Focus

My research focuses on understanding which diverse bacterial states coexist within the host. By investigating bacterial heterogeneity in clinical samples, I aim to uncover novel virulence programs and identify drug combinations capable of targeting all coexisting subpopulations. I combine Microcolony-seq, experimental and computational techniques to study heterogeneity mechanisms.
